The Medical Assistant program is committed to providing a student learning environment which inspires life-long learning utilizing a spirit of inquiry to promote excellence in clinical competence, professional accountability, caring, and effective communication skills for a diverse student population.
The program is designed to prepare students with the clinical and administrative skills necessary to succeed in an entry-level position in a medical facility. The program requires both classroom and laboratory activities and culminates in a clinical experience (externship) in a medical office. Upon completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to challenge the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.

Requirements for Admission to the Program
- This is a selective admission program. Application to the program does not constitute admission.
- Accuplacer score of 243 or above in reading comprehension.
