ECED 0250 - Early Childhood Inclusion and Intervention 3 Credit Hours
The Early Childhood Inclusion and Intervention course introduces students to disabling conditions in early childhood. Emphasis is on assessment, adaptations, modifications and participation in a special education and natural settings for young children age’s birth to 8 including services provided to children and families within Part C and Part B of IDEA. Course requires ten hours out of class experiences in programs serving children 0 to 60 months of age. Primary settings with NAEYC accreditation, or licensed early childhood programs for family, group, center, Head Start, Faith based, public and private pre-k or nursery school setting must be approved by coordinator.
Pre-requisites: ECED0100 level courses must be completed prior to ECED0200 level courses or completed in the concurrent semester.
