ECED 0111 - Infant/toddler II


3 Credit Hours

Infant, Toddler II is designed to teach students to apply theory, research and evidenced-based practices to infants and toddlers (prenatal-3 years). The focus of course is on the observation, care and support of young children (birth to 35months) who are typical developing, at risk, or experiencing developmental delay. Supervised participation in an assigned natural environment for infant/toddlers and on-campus seminars are required. Course requires 15-hour field experiences in programs serving children 0 to 36 months of age. Primary settings with NAEYC accreditation, or licensed early childhood programs for family, group, center, Early Head Start, faith-based, pre-k or public or private infant/toddler agency or setting must be approved by coordinator.
