The Certificate in policing provides the student with an introduction to the basic policing theories, concepts, and practices of the policing discipline. All courses within this Program meet some of the requirements for the Associate in Applied Science Degree in policing and the Associate in Arts Degree in policing. However, this Certificate is not an actual associate degree in any of the above areas of study.

Certification can be a suitable alternative for those that are currently employed in a criminal justice occupation that wants to upgrade their knowledge level in their respective profession.

Any deviation from the program must be approved by the Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences and Public Services.
