INRW 0101 - Integrated Reading and Writing

This course integrates reading and writing skills preparation. Students in this course will learn reading strategies and respond to a variety of college-level texts while receiving supplemental support. Students will simultaneously complete the expected learner outcomes for this course and ENGL-0101 while developing academic reading and writing proficiency and critical thinking skills.

Co-requisites: Placement is based on multiple measures, including standardized test scores. Students who score between 242 and 254 in either the Reading or Writing sections of the Accuplacer or earned a “C” or lower in most high school English classes will take INRW-0101 and ENGL-101 concurrently.

Notes: Students must also enroll in a corresponding section of ENGL-0101 while taking this course.
