ENGL 0101 - Composition I (T►)

(SGE)010 - 3 Credit Hours

Composition 101 is the first of two required composition courses. It is designed to help students achieve language proficiency and write paragraphs and essays which demonstrate unity, coherence, and levels of usage appropriate to the topic, purpose, and audience.

Pre-requisites: Placement is based on multiple measures, including standardized test scores.   Students who score 255+ on the Reading and Writing sections of the Accuplacer or earned a “B” or higher in most English classes will take English 0101 with a corequisite (INRW) class.
Co-requisites: Students who have not met the prerequisites for ENGL-0101 will be enrolled in either INRW-0100 or INRW-0101.  Students who test into INRW must take one of the classes at the same time as they are enrolled in ENGL-0101.
