SOSC 0210 - Introduction to Social Work (T►)

This course is designed to provide an introduction to the nature of Social Work as a helping profession within the larger arena of the social service system. As such, it serves three major purposes: As one of the required introductory courses for students planning to obtain the Bachelor of Social Work degree, it provides the fundamental knowledge about and beginning socialization to the social work profession. It serves as a career-testing course for those who are considering Social Work as a profession. It provides information for students who would like to know more about Social Work and its activities.
