NURS 0106 - Pharmacology in Nursing I


1 Credit Hours

This course provides students with an introduction to medication delivery across the lifespan as it relates to the registered nurse’s role in the patient care team. Dosage calculation for oral, topical, subcutaneous and intramuscular delivery will be introduced and the student will learn to implement the technique of dimensional analysis. The mechanism of action, side effects, and nursing management of clients taking common medications will be covered.

Pre-requisites: Admission in the Registered Nursing Program.
