ENGR 0251 - Fundamentals of Building Planning

This course is designed to introduce students to the concept of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and utilizes the Autodesk REVIT 3D Architectural software. This course will provide fundamental knowledge of such topics as sketching, architectural lettering styles, symbols and their interpretations. This course will aid students in becoming knowledgeable of building construction, building codes, building materials, dimensioning and section details. Emphasis will be placed on teaching students to become proficient in the use of REVIT software and in learning how buildings are constructed. They will be able to identify different parts of a building and building systems.
