EMTC 0128 - Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) 10 Credit Hours
This course provides the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to administer basic life support care to ill or injured patients. Upon completion with a grade of “C” or better, students are able to challenge the National Registry and Kansas certification exams and apply for certification as an EMT in the state of Kansas. A minimum of 12 clock hours of clinical and field internship hours (or equivalent contrived experiences) are required for successful completion of the course. Due to State of Kansas requirements discussed at the first class, attendance of the first-class session is mandatory.
Pre-requisites: Meet the placement score required for this course or complete EMTC 0105 - Emergency Medical Responder with a minimum “C” grade or higher. Director approval may be given in place of course completion requirement.
