NURS 0193 - Health Assessment

3 Credit Hours

This course provides an overview of assessment as part of effectively implementing the nursing process. Students have the opportunity to develop and apply the cognitive and psychomotor health assessment skills necessary to perform a systematic, holistic, and culturally competent health assessment for individuals across the lifespan. Introduction to the role of the professional nurse in identifying and communicating normal findings and common deviations from normal will also be discussed.

Pre-requisites: Admission to the Registered Nursing Program.
