HUMN 0150 - Introduction to Women’s Studies (T►)

3 Credit Hours

This introductory course provides initial exposure to the purpose and subject matter of Women’s Studies. Specific areas of investigation may include the social construction of gender as pertaining to women, women’s well-being, position of women within patriarchal institutions, women’s spirituality, and women’s artistic expressions. This brief but intense exposure to different aspects of women’s socialization, position, and role in society should help build a foundation for more specialized courses in the area of Women’s Studies.
