ECED 0112 - Preschool Child I


3 Credit Hours

The Preschool Child I course (ages three through five) focuses on understanding children’s developmental stages and developing appropriate learning opportunities, interactions, and environments in the following areas: emergent literacy, math, science, technology, and social studies. The course reviews strategies for involving families, appropriate assessment methods, and standards in early education settings.  The course requires 15 hours of in-class field experience in programs serving children 0 to 5 years of age. Primary settings with NAEYC accreditation or licensed early childhood programs for family, group, center, Head Start, faith-based, pre-k.
