ECED 0110 - Infant/toddlers I 3 Credit Hours
Infant/Toddler I present developmental theories and milestones of children aged birth to 35 months within the context of cultural, linguistic, and abilities diversity. Sensitivity to attachment, the importance of observation, and communication skills to nurture positive family, caregiver, and child relationships will be explored through the roles of primary caregiving, transitions, and continuity of care. Students will design responsive programs for infants and toddlers and their families. The course requires a minimum of 15 hours in educational settings consisting of settings with NAEYC accreditation, or licensed family, group, center, Head Start, faith-based, or public or private infant/toddler agency.
