SPCH 0161 - DISCUSSION AND DEBATE

2 Credit Hours

This course expands the study of the principles of basic argumentation and discussion. Students are introduced to higher levels of research techniques including online data bases such as Lexis/Nexis. Research of a current major national or international controversy, is used as the model for gathering the research. Students are expected to participate in intercollegiate debate competition.

Pre-requisites: SPCH 0160 - DEBATE or permission of instructor.
